Customers Loosing Energy?

The US Consumer Confidence Index fell close to 1% from May to June—the second drop in two months.

We’ve all felt the pain within our buying and selling as prices continue to increase and consumers grab for dollars that seem to be slipping away into thin air.

The Index attributes the mixed feelings to rising food and grocery prices—a line item most households are stuck with.

Why am I sharing this with you? Because consumer confidence is often a leading indicator of the psychology behind buying behaviors.

Often in the Thursday Hustle, we share products, tools, and services that help businesses scale.

But it is important to have context to the overall market.

Take this dip into account as you plan for your upcoming campaigns or product releases.

Testing soft launches for price sensitivity or with value messaging is a great way to know how customers will respond.

What’s up with Wordpress? And how do you update a theme…

I’ve recently been working with a client who has a humming business and a great offer.

But their website needs to be improved in terms of design, tech stack, performance, and speed. This led me to do a deep dive into the world of WordPress.

I chatted with loads of developers, agencies, and experts, all with their own ways on how to best implement updates and why WordPress is a great option for companies to build their sites with.

In this article, I’ll give you an overview of the state of WordPress, how to update it, and what themes you might want to check out.

Preventing sales drag

High-pressured sales mixed with a lull in the economy are leaving sales leaders and sellers in limbo. Gartner has reported that 89% of sellers feel burned out and 54% of sellers are actively seeking a job change. Those are some wild stats, but if we know any sales folks or are in sales, we can totally understand the pain points.

Recently, I read "The Challenger Sale" by Matthew Dixon, and as a marketer, I learned a lot about how I can help enable sales within my company. One aspect of getting a deal done that I found insightful was enabling our sales leaders to innovate at the deal level. Obviously, this depends on the business you are in and the margins, but it doesn't solely apply to costs or the sale itself. It also applies to how the deals are being made and how they get done.

Gartner has more insights on empowering sellers, offering development opportunities, and more. I’ve attached the link below.

Just remember your sales force is going through it—and if it’s you on the sales side, don’t worry, you are not alone. Open up a dialogue with your team and invite them into the innovations you might be able to apply to sales efforts.
